Lotus Chinese Floating Restaurant. £.

If you ever happen to be strolling through the docklands near Crossharbour and Canary wharf you might be shocked to stumble across a floating oriental pagoda-like restaurant there in the waters amongst the skyscrapers and glass towers which surround. If you ignore the slightly dated decor inside, there’s a charm not unlike 1940’s Shanghai- particularly when it comes to the vast and largely impressive dim sum menu and the theatrics which come with ordering as many items as you please. If you’re new to the dim sum world- or just in search for a quieter, calmer, and more laid back setting further removed from the bustle of central London; then the Lotus Chinese Floating Restaurant is definitely worth your time.
